Is it worth using an Instructor 2 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: 0
Most parents will say 'don't drive like me or you'll never pass the test !!!" - so how can they teach you to pass - but they can be vital in helping you practice what you've learnt with your Instructor
Please note it's spelt PROFESSIONAL not "proffessional" !

Thanks for the correction ellerton. Good of you to keep an eye on us. Keep up the good work. Parents need to be educated in the modern system of driving otherwise they will not understand what the pupil is trying to achieve. Practice makes PERMANANT. GOOD practice makes perfect.

As a DSA Approved Driver Instructor who does not teach learner drivers but has taught his sons in the past I strongly suggest that you need some training from a instructor. Check what grade your instructor is. All ADI (Approved Driving Instructors) are graded by the DSA (Driving Standards Agency) Look for a Grade 6 Instructor or consider a Grade 5.

There is no problem driving with parents but the majority are not aware of what is required to pass the 'L' test. Ask your instructor if your parent can go with you on your lesson. This way your parent can see what you are taught and what is the current driver training requirements for the 'L' test.

Make sure that you are competent in all aspects of your driving and can carry out all what you maybe required to demonstrate on test with ease. The key to success is good observations, anticipation, planning and general car control. The examiner wants to see that you are in control of the vehicle and you can carry out all the exercises (turn in the road etc) with good all round observations and accuracy. You will not get everything right on the test but don't worry about minor mistakes.

Hi Dude

I suggest using an Instructor is the best way to learn. During that learning process we become perfect.
