Female car insurance companies seem to suggest they hava the answers! We have some other ideas.
How to get Cheaper Insurance Buy as small a car as you can! (small engine size and not a sports version!) No Modifications (modifications to the original specifications of a car can either increase your premium or even make it uninsurable. Modifications include: alloy wheels, performance increase, different lights, lowering etc) Insure before you have passed your test (some insurers offer lower premiums for learners) Get one of your parents to be a named driver on YOUR policy (some insurers view this as 'parental guidance', i.e. your parents care about your driving and may be helping you to learn to become a good and safe driver - this will NOT affect their policy or bonus) Live in a low crime postcode area! (this is not an option you can easily change, it does however explain some of the reasons for a difference between yours and a friend's/relative's premium) Have a good job or be a student living at home (again - this can affect your premium - not easy to change0 |
